About New Acropolis Nashville
We are a group of volunteers, dedicated to helping all people in metro-Nashville live more meaningful and thoughtful lives through classes in eastern and western philosophy, seminars, and community service. We aim to help move society towards greater degrees of self-knowledge and social responsibility through the promotion of philosophy, culture and volunteering. At New Acropolis, someone can volunteer for a park cleanup, or study the rich symbolism of Ancient Egypt in our Symbology class. Our activities are varied because human beings need a variety of experiences to help them come to “know themselves”, as the ancient, Pre-Socratic philosophers used to say.
